Abu Dhabi is the capital and the second most populous city in the United Arab Emirates and the largest of the UAE's seven member emirates. Abu Dhabi lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Arabian Gulf from the central western coast. The city proper had a population of 1.5 million in 2014.

Bourne Legacy, The Kingdom, Syriana, Furious 7, and Star Wars are among the top movies that contain scenes shot in Abu Dhabi.
World Trade Center Mall is a prominent shopping destination located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Khalifa Bin Zayed The First Street. It is part of the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi mixed-use development, which includes retail, offices, residences, a hotel, and the traditional Souk at WTC. Royal Cinemas World Trade Center Abu Dhabi launched in 2025 with eight screens. Five screens are dedicated to 3D movies, and all screens are equipped with advanced laser projectors. The cinema features exclusive premium experiences, including Royal Class for VVIP viewing and Royal Plus, introducing “SKY,” an upper balcony section with a Dolby Atmos sound system, the first of its kind in the Middle East.
